Will your group sell concessions? How many 6 ft. tables do they need? 2 tables is standard.* NO ALCOHOL allowed on the premises as The Luke is located on SBUSD property. NO FOOD OR DRINK is permitted inside the Bryan Family Foyer or the Theatre except clear water in a container with a lid. Per your contract, The Luke will receive 10% of gross concessions & merch sales, which will be reflected on your final invoice.
Will your group sell merchandise? How many 6 ft. tables will they need?* We have a total of 8 6-ft. tables and 14 chairs available for your use. All signs, decorations, or banners must be approved by House Managers & be hung exclusively with “sticky tac” or painters tape on the tile in the lobby (no duct tape, masking tape, or scotch tape). When renting The Luke, you are renting the Theatre only, not SBJHS. Your group cannot use SBJHS property found in the hallways such as chairs, tables, chalk boards, etc. The Luke Theatre owns their own property to fulfill your group’s needs. If you have any questions, contact the Theatre Coordinator.
Is your event general admission or assigned seating? If assigned seating, your group must obtain a seating chart from the Theatre Coordinator prior to the event and properly identify accessibility, VIP, or otherwise reserved seating.
When will your box office staff start sell tickets the day of the event? 1 hour before showtime is standard. Box office staff should plan on a 10-15 minute set up time and to stay 10-15 minutes after the event begins to assist late patrons.
Does your box office have enough change to handle all sales? The Luke Theatre does not carry cash and is not responsible for making change for your patrons.
Do you have Volunteer Ushers to help for 30 minutes before showtime? Volunteer Ushers are extremely helpful for the 30 minutes before the event starts while the audience is being seated. These 1-4 Volunteers would assist House Managers in passing out programs, answering questions, and helping patrons to their seats. *OPTIONAL*
How will they be identified & where will they sit? A wristband or pre-approved hand stamp is standard. If you need seats roped off for your performers, backstage crew, etc., contact the Theatre Coordinator in advance to let them know where they'll sit.
Per your contract, The Luke reserves the right to 40 complimentary tickets. The Theatre Coordinator will work with your box office staff to communicate how many The Luke will use.
