Who Will Write Our History

The Marjorie Luke Theatre presents the Santa Barbara premiere screening of the powerful film ‘Who Will Write Our History‘.  Written, Produced, and Directed by Roberta Grossman, Executive Produced by Nancy Spielberg, based on the book by Samuel Kassow.  Roberta Grossman sheds light on the lives of 450,000 Jews in the 1940’s Warsaw ghetto. Grossman reveals a secret band of journalists, scholars and community leaders who decide to fight back. Led by historian Emanuel Ringelblum and known by the code name Oyneg Shabes, this clandestine group vows to defeat Nazi lies and propaganda, not with guns or fists but with pen and paper.

With Special Guest Writer/Director/Producer Roberta Grossman who will be present for a discussion and Q & A immediately following the 96 minute film. Don’t miss this award-winning film and a chance to hear from the filmmaker herself!
