RESCUED

RESCUED is a faith-based story inspired by true life events, which carefully gathers and meshes the lives of two brothers, bridged together by the incredible force of love, forming a multi-layered plot where questions of inner struggle and faith are depicted. The drama focuses on Agustus Torrante, who, due to alcohol poisoning, is rushed to a hospital, hence going into a coma.

RESCUED has won several awards in many film festivals, both nationally and internationally. To name a few, Italy, Canada, Australia and the USA. Best USA Film in Canada, Best Writer, Director, Producer and Lead Actor at the Houston International Film Festival. Best Romance Drama, Best Lead Actor and Auteur Ambassador at Bare Bones Film Festival, Best Actor at the New York True Venture Film Festival. In addition, Best Faith-Based Drama and Best Director at the New York International Film Festival. Crister’s passion for the craft of filmmaking continues to be the driving force to reach new levels of excellence.

Crister graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theater with emphasis in acting, and a Bachelors of Arts in Spanish Literature. Upon graduating, he continued taking acting classes at the Lee Strasberg Film and Theater Institute and at Santa Barbara City College. Crister appeared as the lead in an independent feature-length, faith-based film “Redemption of the Heart”, which premiered at the Arlington Theater. He has received numerous Best Actor awards.
